Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a significant health concern, being the third most common cause of vascular death globally. This article presents a multinational effort to summarize the incidence and outcomes of VTE, highlighting the geographical variations in data availability and incidence rates. The findings indicate that while some regions have reliable data, others, particularly in Africa and South Asia, lack sufficient information. The review emphasizes the need for better data collection and understanding of VTE's impact worldwide.
