DIAGNOSIS AND EVALUATION OF DIABETES PPT

The workshop, endorsed by the International Diabetes Federation and supported by Sanofi Global Health Unit, presented a systematic approach to diagnosing type 2 diabetes and an initial comprehensive evaluation of newly diagnosed patients. It included case vignettes illustrating typical presentations, discussion of screening strategies for diabetes and pre‑diabetes, and individualized glycaemic targets. References to WHO, IDF, and ADA guidelines were incorporated throughout. The session concluded with key take‑home messages emphasizing diagnostic criteria, comprehensive evaluation, and personalized glycaemic goals.
