The research compares the cost and efficacy of dapagliflozin and empagliflozin in combination with standard care for HFrEF. It employs a Markov model to analyze the long-term cost-effectiveness of these treatments, measuring outcomes in quality-adjusted life years (QALYs). The findings indicate that dapagliflozin-SoC is the most cost-effective strategy compared to empagliflozin-SoC and standard care alone. The study also includes sensitivity analyses to assess the robustness of the results under varying cost scenarios.
